You can “Now Push” to Chrome from iOS or Android. It’s super simple, super-fast, and is the first step giving Now Push super-powers!
Make sure you’ve got the latest version of the Chrome extension here!
I know you all have been wanting and waiting for this since the mobile beta dropped, we fought some strict gatekeeping from Google. We then waited, responded to Google, waited some more and now we have finally met all the criteria made it to the Chrome Web Store!
So far, Now Push made it easy to share things between your mobile devices, between Android, iOS, and iPadOS. Now, we’ve made it just as easy to get things shared across to your Laptop or Desktop.
What can I push to Chrome?
You can push anything to Chrome that you’re already able to push to the mobile apps. Getting a website link, a tweet, a text quote, a reminder, a to-do list, or even pictures onto your computer is now simple, secure, and just takes a second to share.
So how does pushing to Chrome work?
Anything you push to Chrome from the Push Tab will show up instantly as a notification (be sure to allow notifications in settings). These behave just like the mobile notifications: links open a new tab to that website, text can be copied and pasted on your computer, and pictures show up in the Chrome Extension and can be downloaded effortlessly.
After you’ve dismissed the notification, you can still access all of your pushes in the Push Tab of the Chrome Extension. This makes it easy to find anything you’ve already pushed before downloading the Chrome Extension.
Now Push with our Chrome Extension is the fastest and easiest way of getting anything from your phone onto your computer.
No more email attachments to yourself, no waiting for photo apps to sync or any other nonsense, Now Push to the device you want, when you need it!
Right now, the Chrome Extension only supports the Push Tab (so the early version doesn’t support Friends or Threads) but we will bring full parity with the mobile apps very soon, we also only have full support with Chrome, however, in the next update we will also be supporting Chrome Extensions for the Microsoft Edge browser and we will also be compatible with the Chrome Extension add-on for the Opera browser.
What else is new in beta-land?
We shipped build number 13 of our mobile beta version 1.0.0 along with the Chrome Extension, and that included:
- End to End Encryption by default
- Share Extension / Share Intent to you to seamlessly share other files (links, URLs, text) with Now Push
- Better support offline in the Push Tab
- Various bug fixes and improvements
What’s coming up next?
We’ve been working hard to bring some big update in our next release:
- Siri Shortcut (iOS only) functionality
- We working on our Firefox extension
- Delete previously sent pushes on mobile
- Allow pushes to be directed to specific devices
- General quality, performance, and reliability improvements
